What Is a Ductless Mini-Split System?
A ductless mini-split is a heating and cooling system that requires no ductwork. It has two components: a compact indoor air handler that mounts on your wall or ceiling, and an outdoor compressor unit. The two connect through a small 3-inch hole in the wall — no tearing out walls, no running duct through your attic or floors.
Modern mini-splits are heat pumps — they both heat and cool efficiently year-round. In summer they pull heat out of your home to cool it. In winter they extract heat from outside air — even in temperatures well below freezing — and bring it inside. New England winters are no problem for today’s cold-climate mini-split systems.

Mass Save & NHSaves Rebates
Massachusetts homeowners may qualify for rebates through Mass Save when installing a qualifying heat pump mini-split system, and New Hampshire homeowners may qualify through NHSaves. Wrightway is a Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Network contractor. Here is how it works: you pay the full installation cost upfront, then submit a rebate application after the work is complete. If approved, you receive money back — amounts vary depending on the system. See current amounts on our rebates and incentives page.
