Enhanced rebates
Standard whole-home and partial-home rebates don’t apply when you’re replacing natural gas heat, and Mass Save no longer offers rebates on new gas, oil or propane furnaces and boilers, except for income-eligible households. You may still qualify for the Basic rebate when adding a heat pump to a new or unheated space.

Federal Tax Credits
The federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (Section 25C), which covered up to $2,000 for a qualifying heat pump, ended for equipment installed after December 31, 2025. If your system was installed in 2025, you can still claim it on your 2025 tax return. For installs in 2026, state and utility rebates like Mass Save and NHSaves are the main incentives.
Stack your savings on a new heat pump.
Your rebate, plus our Wright Price Guarantee (we beat qualifying quotes by 10%), plus 4–5% off installation as a maintenance plan member.
How It Works
Rebates are paid after installation, so the steps you take before work begins matter. Here’s how the process works.
We size the right system for your home and talk through which rebate tier your project may fit.
Some rebates need paperwork first: NHSaves pre-verification for electric heat, or Mass Save’s whole-home verification form.
We install qualifying cold-climate equipment and give you the model and serial numbers and invoice you’ll need.
Send your rebate application to the program before the deadline. The program reviews it and mails your rebate.

Yes. Wrightway Heating & Cooling is a Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Network contractor. Mass Save requires heat pumps to be installed by a contractor in its Installer Network for whole-home and partial-home rebates, so our customers can apply for qualifying Mass Save heat pump rebates.
Yes. Ductless mini splits are air-source heat pumps, so they can qualify when the equipment is on Mass Save’s qualified product list and the project meets the program rules, such as replacing oil, propane or electric baseboard heat. Wrightway Heating & Cooling is a Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Network contractor, so qualifying systems we install are eligible.
NHSaves offers $250 per ton for qualifying air-source heat pumps. Homes replacing electric resistance (baseboard) heat can get $2,000 per ton for installations from March 23 through December 31, 2026, up to 5 tons per account, with pre-verification required before installation.
In Massachusetts, standard whole-home and partial-home heat pump rebates don’t apply when replacing natural gas heat, though the Basic rebate may apply to new or unheated spaces and income-qualified households have more options. In New Hampshire, NHSaves offers $250 per ton on qualifying heat pumps for homes switching from gas, and Liberty and Unitil gas customers may qualify for high-efficiency furnace and boiler rebates.
No. The federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (Section 25C) ended for equipment installed after December 31, 2025. Systems installed in 2025 can still be claimed on a 2025 tax return. For 2026 installations, state and utility rebates such as Mass Save and NHSaves are the main incentives.
Equipment must be installed by December 31, 2026. Mass Save rebate paperwork is due by February 28, 2027, and NHSaves rebate forms must be postmarked by January 30, 2027. Programs can change or run out of funds, so it’s best to start early.
Rebates are paid after installation. Complete any required pre-verification first, have qualifying equipment installed, then submit the rebate application with your invoice and equipment details before the deadline. The program reviews it and sends your rebate.
Rebates come from Mass Save and NHSaves, not from Wrightway, so they’re separate from our pricing. Our Wright Price Guarantee beats qualifying competitor quotes on new installations by 10%, and maintenance plan members save 4–5% on new installations.
Rebates and incentives are offered and administered by Mass Save, NHSaves and their sponsoring utilities, not by Wrightway Heating & Cooling. We can’t guarantee eligibility, approval or rebate amounts. Program figures were verified October 2026 and may change at any time.
2026 rebates require installation by December 31, 2026. Book your free estimate now to leave time for verification and scheduling.
